Needs a lot of rescuing, doesn't deliver 16 oz of food.

First, they show 16 oz net weight, so I weighed the sauce and meat packages. Sauce was 5.55 oz, Meat 11.2 oz, but right away you're told to drain the broth, which in my case was over 3.6 oz, so the total was closer to 13 oz. Not even considering the slight weight of the pouches, or dehydration during cooking, that's still about 20% of a pound underweight. Second, the appearance of the beef in the pouch is like a lump of clay. They suggest using tongs to separate the beef. On the package they look like tidy little slices, but really, they're so pressed together that they don't want to come apart. I finally used to forks to tease apart what I could, and none of the resultant pieces were "slices," more like lumps chunks. Cooking did nothing to help. Third, there's too much sauce for this little amount of beef. It's about I added about two cups of stir-fried asparagus, baby corn, baby carrots and mushrooms, and it was still dripping in sauce. Fourth, that's what I mean by "lots of resucing." It needed the added flavors. Fifth, neither honey or garlic flavors can be detected in the sauce, and it's not surprising. In a list of 16 ingredients, Honey is fifth, behind two doses of water. Garlic is seventh (roasted) and ninth (dehydrated). As others have pointed out, the orange juice concentrate, number six on the list, is the strongest flavor. Sixth, the texture of the beef is horrible, tough and chewy; the flavor is like an overcooked pot roast.

Best one

I really love this one. My husband likes the teriyaki one, but I think that one has too much salt for me since I don’t really eat with a lot of salt but this one it’s perfect the honey mixed with the meat we make just simple rice bowls with it cause we try to eat pretty healthy and that’s kind of like a nice yummy treat and it doesn’t have a lot of salt so I’m really enjoy it.

This should be called orange beef

Very potent orange flavor; otherwise, lacking in flavor. I do really enjoy other Kevin's products so I was very disappointed in this. I also don't love orange flavor so I wouldn't have bought this if that was made more clear.

HUGE hit at our house

This is our absolute favorite of all the Kevin's products we've tried. I sautee some red and yellow bell pepper and onion before searing the meat, then stir back in with the sauce. We serve it over rice or noodles, and have also added crushed peanuts on top, or stirred a spoonful of peanut butter into the sauce while simmering. Absolutely delicious. My picky picky husband asked to have it again a week after we first tried it. A sure winner, and so much healthier (and FASTER) than take out!
